 GIS STUDENTS EXCEL IN CLASS X BOARD EXAM 

In keeping with its tradition of 100% pass Gulf Indian School emerged victorious in the AISSE March 2010 with all the 89 students scoring grade points(CGPA) above 6. 

Alan James, a combination of diligence and determination scored a neat 10 points with A1 grade in all subjects.  Industrious and meticulous Juanna Jinson,  hardworking and focused Betsy Tesy Mathew and tenacious and conscientious Tania Josepsh scored 9.8 points. Close at heel with 9.6 points are Sruti K.S, Allwyn John, Sakina Jetaji and Hasanur Rahman.  Scoring 9.4 are Aishwarya V, Manas Gupte, J. Anusri, Mamta Datwani,  Richa Sara Koshy, Shilpa Dinesh and Vijayalaxmi Naganadhan.  Next in line with 9.2 grade points are Ann Thomas, Varun Kunnath, Rohit Shaju John, Roshwyn Fernandes and Saheela Pulookil.  Scoring 9 points are Abed Ahmed, Bilha V, Ganesh S, Gincy Santhosh, Joby Santhosh, Laxmi Priya, Habi Ummer, Jeena Erinjeri, Shabnoor Ansari, Shahnawaz Hussain and Siddharth M. Nair.

 The result reflects the academic excellence of the school.  It was the culmination of teamwork, dedication and diligence which made GIS come out with flying colours.

GIS SECURES BRILLIANT RESULTS IN CLASS XII

Once again Gulf Indian School has secured excellent results in the class XII Board examination.  Out of the 42 students who appeared for the examination 41 were placed in first division with 22 securing above 75%.  

In Science Stream all the 29 students scored above 65% aggregate.   

Evelyn Paulose a highly focused and consistent student topped with a score of 95.6%.  She missed the first position in Kuwait just by 1 mark scoring a total of 478/500.  She scored 99 in Mathematics,   99 in Computer Science, 97 in Chemistry,  88 in English and 95 in Physics, which are the top marks in the school. 

An unassuming and highly talented Shilpa Rajeev secured the second rank with a score of 90.2%.  Her scores are English 80,  Physics 91,  Chemistry 95, Mathematics 90 and Biology 95.  She is the school topper in Biology. 

Systematic and diligent Sanuri Dananja Gunawardena bagged the third position with a score of 89.4%.  She shared the top score in Mathematics (99) with Evelyn.  Her scores in the other subjects are Physics 86,  English 77,  Chemistry 89 and computer Science 96. 

Other subject toppers: Sara Singaporewala- 88 in English,  Shilpa Susan Mathew – 95 in Biology, Sagar Jayachandran - 95 in Biology,  Ashwathi V.Anil - 99 in Computer Science. 

In the commerce stream, the diligent Shazna Seyed Ahmed Hassen bagged the first position with an aggregate of 78.8%.  She is the school topper in Business Studeis (80) and  Accountancy (90).  She scored 74 in English, 91 in Economics and 59 in Mathematics. 

Merryl Elizabeth Mathew with an aggregate of 74% secured the second position.  She scored the highest marks in Economics (93).  Her scores in the other subjects are English-79, Informatics Practices – 81, Business Studies – 50 and Accountancy – 67. 

Christeena AnnThomas stood third with 71.6% .  She scored 70 in English, 88 in Economics, 58 in Business Studies, 75 in Accountancy and 67 in Mathematics. 

Meera Joshy topped in Informatics Practices with a score of 85. 

Children owe their excellent performance to their hard work, constant support and guidance given by the Principal, teachers and parents.
